Hi Vic---- if I'm reading this correctly your rear brake adjuster, on this new brake rod, has gone all the way up to the end of the thread ?? Try putting a short steel sleeve ( say 2" ) in front of the adjuster nut. Simples !! No threading needed. I'm assuming that all is OK with the brake lining and the brake arm is in it's correct position ??
