Hi guys--------- I bought this scrap 500 Classic engine (broken con. rod) during the Summer for re-usable parts etc... Have just stripped it this afternoon and thought you might like to see the results ????????? }----------------------- ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------- notice there is no damage at all to the big end which still rotates AND has normal end-float as well......... tough old birds, eh ??

----------------my apologies about the size of photos; I have tried to shrink them a bit but nearly lost the original in the process !!

Hi Alan, That is how they seem to break, just lucky because the rod usually goes out through the cases

Hi NORM, ---------- this one went the other way ie through to the oil tank etc... Got a whole load of useful bits from it though including the crank which appears undamaged bar a few "dings".
