I have a 1995 bullet export at 535cc in a high state of tune and now sucks way more fuel , I'm thinking about the 18 ltr tank but with my scrambles seat and the fact I had to chop off the rear r/h tank lug and chop the tube on the frame just to get my Amal MK2 in and the cable hits the tank a bit ( tight fit ) .
Spending shit loads of money for a tank to be sent half way around the world for it not to fit .I could get the 2 gall US export tank but will end up making fuel stops if I do and I know that can handle a big carb . I have never seen a Enfield with a big tank in Australia which seems strange . All in all I want to run the bike on E85 which city to city would mean getting the Army rear panniers to hold jerry cans of fuel . All a bit Mad Max but a very real situation .

Is the US export tank Imperial (full size English) gallons or those little American ones. Remember the American gallon is only 6.4 full size Imperial pints!!!!
