I have a 2008 Bullet 500 with carb. - It has 1800 very easy miles on it - I do not ride it much - It is very hard to start and the last time it started there was hardly any power - Upon acceleration it would die - I finally very easily got the r.p.m.s up enough to ride it around the block - Had to keep it revved, but still no power - Ideas???? Ron

Sounds like you`ve more air than fuel going in,i would check carb to engine rubber connection,if it`s not been used for a while the pilot/main jet could be partly blocked, also the mechanical spark advance could be stuck.

Remove carb, dismantle(note pilot airscrew and needle clip positions), wash parts with carb cleaner, re-assemble, refit, ride = happiness. .................Also see Technical Notes - Tuning and Using Mikcarb Carburettors

Ron, this could be any number of things. Do you have compression? What's the battery condition? Is the ignition set correctly? etc etc
