Hey guys. On my 350 Bullet I was experiencing hesitation when I opened the throttle quickly. I solved this by moving the needle in the throttle slide to make the mixture richer. It solved the problem. I am now however experiencing a VERY sooty plug so I guess it's too rich. So my question is what else could cause this throttle hesitation? Timing perhaps? Thanks again.

Hi Matt. The cutaway on the slide controls the smooth movement from tickover (pilot jet) to just off tickover and above (needle jet).Cheers. Tony.

New to R/E.has this problem just started with the cold weather? Is the pilot jet and float bowl clean? Is there any unwanted air going in inbetween the carb and engine?
