hi i have a fibreglass gt petrol tank which i have lined with Caswell GTS1750. but when i put petrol in it leaked from one of the front seams. can you reline it again or do i have to remove the liner and start fresh.

More info really,did the tank leak before using the sealant?
What preparation did you do before using this sealant?
Did you line the whole tank or the bottom bit?

Hi jaffa don't know if tank leaked before as been standing 20 years.i cleaned it out using nuts then rinsed and washed out with marine clean, dried and then lined left in warm place to dry for 2 weeks and then it stood for about a month before petrol went in.

If you use any resin remover (not heard of one)it will destroy the tank.I cannot understand why it didn`t leak when you washed it out.You can only try again and hopefully you get a full inside skin.

Left in a warm place to dry for two weeks,resin (two parts) sets in hours.
