Any advice on what the compression pressure should ideally be on a 1936 250cc S2, have done a rebuild and am struggling to kick it over. No problem with the spark plug out, so nothing tight in the system, but with plug in it's difficult to turn it over, clutch slips often when coming to DC.

Hi, I had the same problem on a twin, easy with plugs out, stand on Kickstarter with plugs in. If the engine has new parts it probably just needs bedding in. Paul
