Hello
I’ve bought a pair of aftermarket bar end mirrors for my 650 Interceptor. Has anyone found a way of removing the m6 threaded stepped inserts in the standard bar ends?
My alternative is to drill & tap the existing inserts for m8 and file semicircles in the mirror mounts…

I presume this is an insert in the bar that the standard bar end screws into?

Don't know about yours specifically but they're usually just tightly fitted so to get them moving, a big washer on the end of the handlebar and an M6 bolt through it. Tighten it down against the washer and it should pull the insert flush to the bar end. Then a longer bolt or bit of allthread screwed in and something heavy to slide along it like a slide hammer to get it the rest of the way.

I have also in the past just got a longer M6 bolt and hammered them in further.
