Hi all
I'm fitting electronic ignition to my 2008 Enfield Bullet. Where do you all feel the best location for the module is?
Cheers,
Justin

Wotcha.
I've mounted my electrical gubbins on a bracket under the seat.
The Zener diode is only there as a backup if the reg/rec unit fails.

Some “points are the only way” diehards might say the best place is in the bin!

Personal preference. There are advantages and disadvantages for both types.

I used to own a 2CV and fitted electronic ignition, that's why I thought the Enfield one might be good.

If it is running well, I for one would certainly keep the points and if it wasn't running well I would fix the problem and still keep the points, but other opinions are available!

If it’s of any use, the TCI module on my 350 Bullet Electra sits under the seat. Although it has waterproof connectors, the factory put it as far out of the wet as it can be.
