Hi guys,

Not long ago I had purchased the larger stronger rear rack sold by Hitchcock’s and the dolomiti 46 top box that is supplied with a universal plate, I did fit it as per the instructions however I noticed the rear two clamps that hold the universal plate after a 6km ride with empty top box attached got loose, I did change the position of the clamps same to the front two clamps where the curved end of both front and rear clamps faces each other and tightened it up and shall be testing this Sunday, if any of you have a similar setup any ideas to how to securely fit the universal plate on the upgraded rack will be very helpful, I’m a bit worried it may get lose again on the rougher roads. I’m thinking maybe to add additional locknuts

Blue locktite may be your friend here I have no experience of the givi set up, but after years of riding singles and twins I use it all the time.
