Fit some Brembo pads!
When I had my calipers replaced under the recall I was chatting to one of the mechanics who tells me that he races Himalayans and recommended Brembo pads.
I promptly went out and bought a set for the front, and have racked up about 400 miles with them - what a huge improvement, much better feel as well as better stopping power - really noticeable.
Dont have the Brembo part No to hand at the moment, but they are the "white" ones, any one interested I'll dig out the Brembo Part number.
Definatley recommend them as they are a big improvement.

I have recently had my brake callipers replace under the recall. Both are better than before, but I am interested in having the Brembo pads, so would appreciate your letting me know the part number.

Thanks for that . I have looked on eBay, and whilst they are available from a firm in Italy ( for £73) the vehicle selection section says they do not fit a 2018 bike : probably they would not be suitable for the original callipers. If they fit your ‘recalled’ callipers, though, they should fit mine, so I’ll order a set.

Thanks. I have ordered from Brooksbarnparts on eBay, so I’ll report in due course.

I'm sure our host who sell brake pads are loving this thread....

To be honest that did cross my mind, but I would have though that if it broke any rules, our hosts would have removed this thread by now.
I am not rubbishing anything that our hosts offer - I buy a lot of stuff from them and their quality and service is second to none.
Depends where our hosts draw the line, I could have mentioned for example some alternative tyres that I find very good that our hosts dont sell but I would recommend - would that be breaking the rules?, all I am doing is pointing out in this case that there is (in my opinion) a good alternative brake pad that I find improves the front brake performance, it just happens that our hosts dont stock them.
But I do take your point.

I fit brembo pads on all my disc braked bikes. They really are worth the extra.
After a lot of parts list cross-checking, I found you can get them to fit the pricol callipers they used on the earlier EFI bikes too. I use the "red" sintered ones. Part 07YA21.SA
