Hi ya. I love the looks of my conti 650, but though Ill probably regret it, Would like to try clip ons. Anyone else done it? Pitfalls? Thanks in advance.

Nothing specific but the usual issues are cable routing and tank clearance. Ace bars are sometimes easier to manage than actual clip one.

My preference would be "swan necks" gives a much wider scope of positions.

Pitfalls - how about an aching back.

Clipons kill my back, always have done even when I was a lot younger.

Jota bars if still available would be my choice if I was going for a lower set of bars plenty of adjustment with them

But I'm getting on so higher bars for me

Another trick we used to do when I was young and daft and too poor to be able to afford clip-ons/ace bars was to fit the standard bars upside down and rotate them down into a clip-on position... Then get fed up getting my thumbs trapped between the bars and tank and put them back onthe right way round again.
