Evening all

I am in the process of replacing the inner primary case on my AVL Electra X so I can lose the ‘lump’ left after removing the starter motor. Managed to find one from a home market 350 AVL, can see I need to drill and tap the three crankcase locating screws ( expected that) but have come on another issue. The non starter case has much thicker bosses where the three screws locate and they stick out far enough to stop the crankshaft sprocket locating fully as the bosses hit the now redundant starter gear that is part of the crankshaft sprocket. I could either machine the case back a bit or fit a crankshaft sprocket from a non starter engine without the starter sprocket. Does such a sprocket exist for an AVL engine that would fit?

Fit a standard 25T kick-start Bullet engine sprocket.

Don't worry if it's not quite as tight on the crankshaft splines, just nip the Electra's sprocket nut up nice and tight.

Engine sprockets are readily available.

I did the same mod on my 2006 Iron Bullet home market model.
