Hello, I wonder if anyone would have an idea how the Manx short circuit-tank shown in the customers picture gallery (recently spotted on page 5 "1961 Super Meteor Cafe Racer , Dave Wilson" was fitted on the frame. As these tanks usually are made for Norton-featherbed frames I think there should be major problem with the (more or less non existing) tunnel. Is this a special make of tank, maybe for a triumph-frame? I'd really apreciate any hints.

Kay, that looks like a Seeley type tank (Colin Seeley, frame and later bike builder,) but I guess the problem of fitting still remains! I've never seen anything like that on an Enfield before and I don't think it's a "production" tank (we'd have heard about it, I'm sure,) so it's probably a one off. Lets hope the Owner sees this and can explain!

You can make some hat shaped brackets out of 1" x 1/8" (25mm x 2mm) flat bar, the curved head part fits over your frame and the flat rims are used to suport the tank.      __                                                                     ____l  l____

Nice looking bike , but I wonder .......is that a Triumph tank? It looks too narrow at the back to be a Wideline or Slimline Featherbed tank. IMHO.
