Hi all newbie here so apologies if this question has been asked before
I'm considering buying a classic 500 or a Bullet 500, they both seem pretty much identical are they basically the same bike but with a few different bits ie mudguards?
Thanks in advance
Steve

I admit. It's an awkward question. Is it 'classic styled'? Or is it a Bullet? To my mind. It's either a 'iron barrel' or a UCE. Which bike are you looking at?

So I'm looking at late models ie EFI , 5 speed unit construction models. I see 'Bullets' and 'Classics' advertised, and I prefer the look of the Classic with sprung seat etc. But I was just curious as to what the difference was between the two models?
Thanks for the reply
Steve

Ah right. I understand now. You're looking at a UCE. In essence. It's the same rolling chassis, but with different trim parts bolted on.

That's great thank you, I haven't ruled out an older (non uce) model,I just don't know enough about them ie reliability etc
Thanks again

Sorry Mr Spudgun but there are many differences between EFI Classic and Bullet models ( or B5 ) seat / silencer / footrest fixings are all different - and worse as year models change too ....some parts will interchange with a few mods but be careful here ...

I did say "In essence". The fundamentals are the same.

If it's these two, then there are differences.

To be fair, lots of folk mix up the terms "Classic" and "Bullet" especially since the advent of the EFI models.
