Royal Enfield 1945/46 model CO main bearing cages

Hi, I am assembling the bottom end of my 350 C/O engine, I didnt take It apart, my question Is, do all the open ends of the main bearing cages face towards the flywheels, or how is It meant to go, thanks Ronnie
