Constellation clutch

Hi ,I am about to start the modification to the clutch spider on a Constellation by fitting our hosts splined spacer washer VR73 to stop the clutch rubbing the primary case,any tips/advice most welcome,including the machining of the spider to accept the washer

Hi, I see no problem fitting this part although I think it is designed to fit the Chennai clutch without the cushdrive. As to the rubbing, bear in mind that the spider is attached to the mainshaft and the clutch drum relies on the cover plate over the rubbers and the three spacer tubes to secure it together to take up play in these parts which could cause rubbing. Hi thanks ,the spacer was recommended by our hosts to sort out the rub so I will go with it ,I have to machine the spider face to restore the wear
