I am rebuilding the engine in my 350 c/o model, the base of the barrel is damaged, the fragile spigot that locates in the casings is chiped will It be ok to clean up or remove this and use as is? Will the 4 base studs do for location, does anyone have experience off this problem

My Constellation is effectively 2 x 350s. I had the same problem with a chunk about 20mm square missing from one spigot (presumably a result of an earlier engine blow-up). I dressed the sharp edges with my Dremel, checked there were no cracks and re-fitted. No problems over 1000miles later!

The one on my model G (believe its the same as the CO) has the same damage you mention - not a problem. I've another 2 spare barrels & they are the same. Works ok, no issues
