Sounds like it is time to strip and grease the Him rear end.

It has started making a squeaking sound from the rear end when you sit on the bike - read a lot about poorley lubricated swinging arm & suspension link bearings, guess I had better strip it down and take a look.

Rather be riding the damned thing.

Probably a good idea, for peace of mind as well. Check there is nothing fouling between the shock spring and shock body causing the squeak.

Update:

Pulled it all apart this morning - it looked like someone had just wiped the bearings over with a greasy cloth at best, very very little grease on the bearings. Guess that RE dont like spending too much money on grease

Bike is on 5800 miles now and to date I have had to fit a new Fuel pump relay - been 100% reliable priming since, and 1 new off side front wheel bearing - old one had become notchy, oh yes and slackened off the head race bearings - they were so tight the wheel would not turn under it's own weight - probably have to pull that apart and grease at some time in the not too distant.

The new tyre went on 200 miles ago, guess that the relay & bearing could have been done under warranty, but to be honest I just cant be bothered wih the hassle.
