Can someone advise me where I can gets replacement key for my bike. I lost them but I do have the code number on the ignition lock barrel. I have tried online but key cutters seem only to deal with 'modern bikes' at least not Enfield. Any suggestions?

buy a complete lock set and replace the lot and be more careful with your keys next time.

Most PROPER locksmiths can cut replacement keys from a key number if they have the correct blanks, I presume you have put a call in to our hosts?

Sorry for wasting everyone's time - I found them still in my bike lock in one of the panniers! And yes I have found the blanks for sale on this site. Thanks for the advice I have received.

Back again. Just had delivered a blank key to cut a copy of mine BUT in conversation with Hitchcocks I discovered my key was shorter than the blank but longer than the next size down - this foxed them. Does anyone else have an Electra X key which is about 39mm long' just the metal part? I though I would let a local key cutter to see if they can adapt the 'long' Hitchcock blank. Any thoughts people?

hi graham ,i,m not a lock smith but if the blank is the correct 1 it doesn,t matter how much material is above the key pattern as from the sharpe end to the top of the pattern is what opperates the lock ,i have a really long ignition key on my petrol bullet loads of area in length above the pattern hope this helps paul.
