I think HD is missing a massive slice of the market with so much money being spent on classic type bikes. I love V twins, and the glorious lazy sound they make, but the only current HD model I like is the Electra Glide models simply because that model is the only one that is not trying to look like a Chopper or some flat track dirt bike. What with the enormous cost of the Electra glide, it's massive size and running costs means that I would never buy one, certainly not a new one. However I reckon they should make an "Old School" type bike, which would be much smaller, perhaps something similar to their WD types, even as going as far as producing a small capacity V twin sidevalve engine. There would be no need to have fancy polished and chromed alloy, just raw aluminium castings, even painted wheel rims would do. If they could keep the price below or near the 850 roadster model then I'm pretty sure they would have a winner here in the UK and in Europe.

A six speed 900cc interceptor with enough horses to frighten a triumph like they used to, decent disc brakes and retro look. may just turn a few hardly people.
