Hi, I have a 1970 350 bullet. I recently burnt out the alternator and have installed a replacement. The old one had green/black,green/white and green /yellow wiring coming from it to the regulator/rectifier. The new one has black,green and red coming from it and I have attached it to the r/r but things don't seem correct. Charge jumping around,headlight not working etc. I have obviously checked wiring diagrams,what a joke,they are all different and none seem correct. Does anyone know the correct wiring from my new alternator to my r/r. ?

Hope this helps - its been written in my workshop manual
Green = green/black
Black = green/yellow
Red = green/white.

Thank you Rushour...I can now carry on...I'll let you know if it is succesful .
