My understanding is that the Ah rating on a lithium battery doesn't mean it actually has that many amp hours in it. Just that it will have the same or better cranking amps and behave like a lead acid of that rating? It may well hold less charge though.

That happened to me. The lithium battery showed 12v but gave no current to speak of. I was tearing the electrics apart trying to find out what was wrong, convinced that the battery was OK.
Someone (I forget who) suggested I try a new battery anyway, which I did, and the 'problem' disappeared.
One lives and learns.

I use AGM batteries on my bikes and have always find them excellent.
Lithium is overkill imho and the sudden death can really catch you out.

R/R is under the seat on the euro3 and on the back of the electrics box on the euro4.
