Here we go, rewired 1996 bullet not running, strong battery. All well except Only two minor issues one of the indicators didn't work and brake light permanently on. Battery died obviously due to testing and engine not running. Today decided to correct two issues, whilst checking the two issues Noticed fuse blown, replaced along with fully charged battery , now nothing working. Have power to ignition switch, horn clicks ameter drops into red slightly when flicking on light switch. No lights or indicators or horn. Earth's good, regulator or rectifier f..ked or something else?
Thanks Mr sparks

Sounds like something shorted, it may have broken/burned out the wire at the same time. The reg/rec shouldn't stop the lights working if there is a charged battery. If in doubt, disconnect it, everything should still work as normal if the battery is charged.
I'd look at the connections to and from the ammeter first off, those are very east to short because both posts are live. I'd also remove the repeater bulbs from the back of the clocks and see if it's an issue because in my experience, those are sods for causing a short to the casing.
Sometimes helps to replace the fuse with a bulb if looking for a short, then you just need to look for the bulb lighting up instead of the fuse blowing when you wiggle the appropriate wire.
