I don't know anything about oil, so I have always bought what Hitchcocks recommended for my bikes and nothing has gone wrong yet.

I'd say use what you want because it will run on either. ;)

(When this discussion runs out of steam, can we do one on the best tyres again? I'd have said anti-freeze but you can only really do that on car forums...). :mrgreen:

Sorry----- forgot to add}---Yes, just follow our hosts instructions and you'll be ok...... Make sure your oil filter can move under the spring loading...that's how any over pressure oil is dumped back into the system....
