How to separate kill switch housing

Classic 500 2017.
Well, this is embarrassing, how do I separate the two halves!?
Done this many times on other bikes and watched a video.
Okay, two long bolts out. I’m led to believe there is a locating lug into the handlebars, but I cannot detach the top half.
It moves a little but I cannot see what’s holding it. Only posting as I don’t want to just use brute strength and bugger it.
