1961 Redditch Bullet 350

Morning Guys newbie on here as just found my first Royal enfield and so any help I can have would be greatly received.

My first question (of many I'm sure) is where can I find out the oil capacities for my Bullet please

If you look on the main Hitchcocks site, Go to INFORMATION AND FORUM and then WORKSHOP MANUALS.

It then divides between UK and Indian... Select what you need.

Hope that works for you, shout up if any more problems.

PS Lots of good information and experience on here from owners, and Hitchcocks are great for spares etc. Quick and efficient.

I have done that but maybe i am missing something out but have looked at the manual for my Redditch 350 bullet 1961 and can't see in the manual any oil grades or capacities

Hi Chris, you can use 20/50 mineral oil for the engine, gearbox, primary drive [clutch] and forks, or you can use four different kinds of oils, should you wish, as many seem to like doing. There are level plugs for the forks, gearbox and primary case, while there are low and high marks on the dipstick for the engine filler.

Hi, as per handbook for 56/62 . 4 pints oil in engine, 3/4 pint gearbox. Primary case fill to drainplug. Front forks 7.5 fluid ounces Oil sae 40 summer sae 30 winter. Forks 30 summer 20 winter. Vince
