Tap tap tap, come in!

Kickstarted my 2017 Classic 500 this morning; zero to 2 degree temperature. Held choke for about ten seconds, then let go as normal to allow a little further warming up.
So far, so good. Checked my brake lights, front gone, switch to order. But whilst pulling the brake lever, I accidentally blipped the throttle (fair enough) then the revs dropped to about 120 rpm and it stalled; still fair enough.
When I restarted I got (to me) a normal click. It’s always done this once when kickstarting or electric start. (Assume the decompression spring thingy?)
However, following this, I heard three taps. Taps is not the best word. What I heard was exactly the same as you hitting the down pipe with a screwdriver three times! That is, not a quiet sound.
Ride was fine. I stopped it during the ride and restarted by kick, still all good.
Just wondered if anyone had any thoughts... I don’t want my engine to turn into Harald’s!

Don't panic, its only the auto decompressor being a little sluggish. It is a very alarming noise though. As long as it goes away when you increase the revs a little or when its warmed up, your all OK.

Thanks Haggis, hasn’t done it before.
Like I said, I always get a single click when starting, it’s just that these three were not far off clang clang clang, than tap tap tap
