Hi All

The weather has improved and time to get on the bike, wur wur wur nothing

Its a electric start 2004 65 500 Trials

Good battery, lights and horn OK

Amp meter works, as I get a reading when the lights go on.

But no movement of needle when I kick her over

Cut off switch in the correct position, and tested with an another know working one, and by joining the wires together.

I do get a spark at the points, but nothing at the plug, or at least I think so. Quite difficult to tell holding the clutch in and pressing the start button with the plug lead/plug resting on the head.

Have tried shaking the wires in the headlight, no change.

Battery now flat,

Any advise, logical ways to test components?

Help before it starts to rain again.

Thanks

Andrew

Are you talking about joining the cutout switch wires together? Do you have a test light? With the points open and ignition on you should have 12 volts at both coil terminals, point closed only one side of the coil will show power. Remove the HT lead from the coil and check that it is in good condition both ends
