Hi just confirming the thread that holds the clutch housing on a 1987 350 is 9/16 bsf as i have bought 140769 a 9/16 bsf nut and it will not fit ?

Do you mean the nut holding the clutch hub onto the gearbox main shaft? The later bikes with the 4 speed box used an M14 nut.

After 33 years, there is no garauntee the mainshaft/gearbox in it now is the one it came with.
