Engine direction of rotation 350 classic

i have a 1983 classic 350 bullet engine which i am rebuilding , when looking directly at the primary case which direction does the engine sprocket rotate when the engine is running ?
i am asking this as i am fitting a new duplex chain with a connecting link hence asking for roation direction.

Looking at the primary drive side, the engine sprocket and clutch sprocket both turn anticlockwise.

The closed end of the link should point to the front of the bike when it’s on the top chain run.

Although in fairness, fitting an endless one is pretty easy.

Don't know how big a job you're doing but remember, if you are going to want to change the front sprocket, the whole primary drive will need to come off anyway, that's the ideal time to swap out the primary chain.

It's a bit obvious when you look at how the chain tensioner is attached.
