Hi, got around to using a twin timing cover thats been on the shelf for 40yrs. It has 6 bolt covers and a massive scavenge pump. The oil pick up for the timing cover has been blanked off. I assume its off an interceptor. Q. How does the oil exit the case on an interceptor is it via holes into the sump? Vince

Vince, don’t assume anything about twin timing covers. For whatever reason Redditch made 3 or 4 variations on 700/750 timing cover oilways and they are not interchangeable. Use the wrong one, or indeed the wrong gasket with the right cover, then the oil will not flow. Big twins used the same basic design of feeding oil to the crank through the timing cover. Richard

From my experience, oil flows over the riders following them.
Don`t wear a white shirt if riding behind one of these. :o
