Book says spanners out for 10k miles. Order kit from our hosts. Plug check, oil @ filter check, air filter check . Fork oil uncheck. M7 hex drain plug spinning the stanchions. Is there a dodge ?

Thats more than likely the damper rod bolt your trying to undo, not a drain.
Is your lower fork leg straight or is the front spindle offset?
If you have the straight fork legs like my 2017 C5, you have to remove the forks from the bike to be able to drain and refill.

To re-fill the Fork with Oil:
Remove each fork leg.
Hold the fork leg assembly carefully in a vice (taking care not to damage the surface of Lower fork leg).
NB The fork leg assembly must be inverted – i.e. the Fork spring stud bolt uppermost.
Remove the Fork spring stud bolt and extend the fork leg as far as possible.
Pour approx 200cc of suitable fork oil into each fork leg using a syringe.
Carefully compress the fork leg, taking care not to force oil out. Re-fit the Fork spring stud bolt and tighten securely.

Agree with the no effect effect. I guess these service prompts have more to do with the "unique "nature of roads in the sub continent. The bike rides fine, I've never known it bottom the suspension. Anyone want a litre of Silkolene fork oil? REgards..

Its worth changing.
My 2017 C5 had 50ml in one leg and just over 100ml in the other.
W/shop manual recommends 195ml per leg.
The stuff that came out was not like any oil I've ever seen before.
Same as the oem brake fluid, change it as soon as you can.
