oil drain threads

yes i did :oops: i cross-threaded and stripped the threads on the larger oil drain , would anyone know the proper way to repair ? 2015 RE C500 EFI

Not sure if these will be exactly specific to yours, but until anything better comes along, you could try doing a SEARCH on this board. There's been quite a lot on stripped threads.

Either Helicoil or ( better ) Timesert is the usual way of effecting a permanent repair. I don’t know what size but a search should find it; it might be in the RE workshop manual.

It's the same thread as a spark plug so any helicoil or timesert will sort you out.

thanks for the help , most lean towards Time-sert, with my damn hand tremors tapping and drilling will be a serious challenge so i'm going to have the shop do it , it was the tremors that got me into this mess in the first place :cry: but just a word of thanks.......be safe out there!
