Meteor chaincase oil capacity

Please - Can anyone give me the volume of oil for the 1954 700cc Meteor chaincase - the oil level plug is in an impossible position to be used!

Why is the level plug so difficult to access ?

The exhaust pipe was very close to the level plug, but ....I have managed to tweek it slightly to give me access room and removed the plug. I then used a large syringe to put oil into the chaincase via the filler hole and was amazed at the tiny amount needed - it ran out of the level hole after adding 140ml of ATF, so would estimate a volume of 120ml needed from empty - modern Bullets use 420ml!

I wonder if it was coming straight out before it found its own level?

Advice from Meteor Guru, Mark M, suggested 150ml - on the basis of the results he wasn't far out! But I will check just to be sure - I know I was amazed that so little came out when I took the cover off - and the case was oil tight. New Bullets have 420ml - almost a pint! Try getting that into the case - I think not!!!
