You may find that the charging system has a capacitor on the DC wires.

I fitted the best lithium battery I could find which increased the charge hold time and improved starting but my battery still goes flat after a couple of weeks of non use. Mind you i ride every day so no problems
Lots of rubbish in various states of decay !

Just unplug the regulator and see if that cures it. I think it will. I have removed the capacitor from my 2017 500 ECU. I don't notice anything!!!
