clutch problem

just re assembled the clutch on my 350 bullet and when trying to to get the clutch to dis engage no matter how I adjusted the cable and or the clutch rod arm the clutch will not disengage,after much head scratching removed the clutch rod and found it was in two seperate lengths and not a one piece rod as shown on the parts diagram ,anyone come accross this before and as the clutch was working before its removal and re assembly why would this cause the loss of adjustment.any sugestions welcom.

Sounds like you lost your Ball from the middle there is sometimes a balll bearing in the middle of the two parts which in effect makes it longer.

thanks paul that may be the solution I will check the area where I stripped the clutch and get back to you.

hi taper yes the clutch push rod is in three parts long rod goes in first against the adjuster then the ballbearing finally the short pushrod pad.

Ah yes, that ball! I can still see mine making its bid for freedom merrily bouncing towards the gravel path never to be seen again!

thanks for all the sugestions and now problem sorted,ball bearing found lurking in the corner of the garage,now fitted and clutch working,cheers to all you bullet lovers.
