Hi all,
I have just purchased a new Himalayan and getting used to it, the one thing that I find is the throttle twist seems to have a lot of travel and my wrist ends up at an uncomfortable angle when more than half open,
any one else find this, is there a quicker action throttle tube that fits this model.

thanks

More than half throttle on a new bike?
I wouldn't.

Mine only rotates about 80 degrees stop to stop.
I've not had it on full throttle when riding as it's still running in.

I've had a few EFI bikes and they all have fast-opening throttles that can be fully opened with a single twist. One of the downsides of converting my C5 to a carb is that it now needs a further twist to open the throttle fully. I've not tried a Himalayan so I can't be sure, but it does seem odd. Assuming it has a throttle cable it probably just needs the slack taking out of it until the specified free play is reached. It probably advises on how to do it in the manual.

I have found the throttle travel excessive too. I had a wrist saver on previous bikes but it's no good on this bike as the travel is too long.

A QA twistgrip would be a useful mod if one was made.

Hi all - just to add to the mix - all the fuel injected Enfields I’ve known have no more than a 90 degree movement on the twist grip. Just right I'd say.
