Where are you in the country? It's not a hugely difficult system to chase through with a meter if you know what you're doing, someone may be able to help you out.

10 miles south of Lincoln, in the sticks lol, still getting it ready for its mot. I can take it to an auto electrician in Lincoln when its on the road as it starts ok on the prodder, many thanks Kally

Check the wiring inside the handle bar cluster, it could be the wire has come adrift or a dirty contact.

Yes have power now, (loose connection in switch) but the sprag is nackered so ordered a new sprag assembly. Thanks to all. :)

You have 2 problems ,-- your relay is not working due to a fault in your primary circuit and if you short out the relay the stater turns but does not turn the engine then as said you sprag is gone.

Are you sure the battery is on the right way round as this will make the starter run backwards and negate the sprag.
