Still busy with the front brake, got the wheel back, now with round druk and again linings made on radius.
Adjusting is again the problem (give the cable more slack and brake comes less free?)
Yes i iknow how to adjust a DL brake, it is not rocket science..
But enfield seems different
It seems to brake better when the central niut is a little loose and the brake plate has a little play?
With normal bikes these parts have to be secured and tight..

It might be a bit of a fiddle and maybe best with the wheel off, but, apply the brake and hold it on whilst doing the nut up tight.

This is the normal procedure, but impossible on the enfield front brake.. since nnothing is really straigth in and on the back plate, maybe it needs some room to choose the position at which the linings meet the drum flat-out?

Impossible? I have set up loads of RE brakes how I described quite easily, assuming you have the wheel off, just hold the brake 'on' via the operating arm with one hand, while doing the brake plate nut up tight with a suitable spanner in the other hand.

I can't believe that this front brake is still not sorted
Nearly two years and still not working

Am I right in thinking you have tried different drums different shoes different cams?

It has to be a problem with the cable or lever

Not all those parts you have replaced can be faulty

I gave you the rundown on how I adjust a TLS front brake before

Adjusted the way I said before mine will squeel the front tyre

You say you know how to adjust a TLS brake can you tell us the method your using
