having endured this arse numbing seat - I decided to simply put a bit of carpet underlay underneath the seat cover and it is
much better after I tested it today -60 miles spin down and around lyme regis and beer.. - and its cheap to try yourself.
am I getting old..

I made a sheepskin cover for my C5 seat. I used two sheepskins and cut out a seat pan shape in each. I got a pop stud kit and used it to fasten the two together inside to inside, passing a couple of old belts from walking trousers ( the ones that have plastic buckles that click together and have an annoying tendency to slacken off). The two belts pass under the seat. In this way if it rains and soaks the one facing upwards while parked I can simply reverse it and sit on the dry one. It's made my C5 America nest the most comfortable but keys I've ever owned. I did have an Airhawk for many years until it died but sheepskins are way better IMHO.
