Hi i have a Hepolite high compression piston used on a Meteor being fitted to my 350 bullet iron barrel , the exsisting indian piston is split skirted at the front , nothing marked on the Hepolite metor piston or a split at front . Can Hepolite be fitted either way round ?

If the crown is machined for valve clearance, are both slots the same size or is one cut-away larger than the other? That would be the inlet side, i.e. rear, but I suspect you'll tell me they're the same.

It doesn't matter which way round you fit one of those pistons.

Generally if there's no markings on piston it can fit either way

Chrome ring on top ring marked top goes in the centre with top mark facing up

Don't forget ring gap

Again generally 4tho per inch of bore will be about right
