Hello,

Sorry for my poor english. I would like to buy a new carburettor for my BSA S 29 (Sloper 1929 year, 4.93 OHV two ports).
The one in place is a pre-monobloc, probably 276 model, but I didn't find any indication on the body so I can't define precisely the model : 15/16; 16/16; 17/16 ?
Is someone can give me this precision : what is the right model for this machine ?
Another question for this bike. I own it since 3 years and, despite there is no smoke, I noted a hight consumption of oil. I know the engine has no scraper ring but this oil consumption seems to hight.
Is somebody has an idea of the normal oil consumption (for one hour of running or for 100 km for example)whit this kind of machine ?
Thanks a lot for your help.
Best regards.

Hi Paul50, There might be someone on this site familiar with the old sloper. 350 is it?....
Chances are you would be better off contacting a bsa specialist forum like this.........

My mate Pete who has a 1934 600cc Sloper says that oil consumption should be about 200 to 250 miles per pint. Which is 350 to 400km per 550ml if I've calculated right! No info on carb, sorry. REgards, Mark
