Hi All,
I am thinking of changing out my standard 2018 C5 handlebar grips for some Biltwell grips. I can see that the handlebar is 7/8 diameter but can anyone advise if the standard throttle grip has a sleeve insert in the grip or if the throttle sleeve is not part of the grip but part of the handlebar?
Thanks

The throttle grip will be bigger allowing it to fit over the throttle sleeve
Happy to help Dai

The throttle sleeve is part of the switchgear. You need to take the old grip off it so you can fit the new one.
As above, the new right hand grip will have a larger hole in it than the left one to accommodate this.

You will have to trim the throttle tube to fit non standard grips. The high ridged parts at either end of the tube need trimmed.

Thanks for the responses,
@Haggis, I assume that the throttle tube has the ridged parts to keep the grip in place, never seen that before.
I plan to glue and wire the grips on, this should be tight enough, has worked on all other bikes I've owned.

I've never used anything but hairspray to hold grips on following a thorough de-grease of the contact surfaces. Both hewated and normal grips.
