Hello, I have just got a 1946 flying flea which I have started to restore and hopefully get running, I have got stuck trying to remove the magneto cover, the three bolts have been undone and the points cam is not there? Any ideas on how to remove this? It may just slide off but didn’t want to force it. Thanks

Hi, I had the same problem, the shaft is a tight fit. I had to resort to heat and levering the cover off from all sides . I take when you say the cam is not there , you have already removed it? Vince

Thanks for that, I went out last night and levered it off, I didn’t want to risk breaking anything. The coils all look in good condition which is surprising as the bike has been stood in a shed for 60 years. The cam is in the box of spare bits, I wasn’t sure what it was until I found a picture on the internet. Thanks again
