SW, please try that and report back, I wouldn’t spray anything on my gaiters because modern rubber might be affected by the solvent. I’ve heard some swear by the use of sun block cream! :mrgreen:

Aerospace 303 is pretty much designed for that kind of thing, it's water, not solvent based and is specifically for preventing UV damage to plastics and rubbers. People use it on caravans, boats and garden furniture on hot countries.

I put it on the gaiters on my 612 bullet and I do the black ABS plastic dash and screen on my '91 vfr750 to stop it going grey and brittle. It does wash off though so you need to use it as a "dressing" when you wash the bike, like when you'd polish the paintwork.

I was introduced to the stuff for protecting my royalex (a vinyl-bnased composite) canoes from UV damage when they are being stored on trestles outside.
