Mystery transmission part?

Greetings! I'm in need of some help. I'm washing/degreasing parts for an Albion gearbox. It has AGZ 3092 stamped on top right of the case which I think is Interceptor. I hear a "clink", look in the bottom of the parts washer tub and I see the below part. Diameter is .269", thickness is .190". One side is concave as if to provide a seat for a ball bearing, the opposite side is slightly convex. It had to come from somewhere in the transmission but I'm scratching my head. I've checked a few parts books on our host's site and can't identify it. Any ideas? Thanks!

Well I don't know, but as no-one else seems to perhaps I can make a guess. Could it have been a spacer inbetween the two clutch push-rod tubes?

Looks more like a blanking plug for a drilling somewhere?

As Haggis say's or it looks like a really small core plug being the shape it is, more likely a thrust washer. Does it show signs of wear/marks?

Hi, I have rebuilt scores of albion gearboxes and do not recognise that as part. Just possible its the top of a pushrod mushroom broken off! Was it in gear cavity or selector area. Vince

Is it ferrous or non-ferrous? Get a magnet on it.
Since we're onto guessing, Do interceptors have the clutch pushrod going through the gearbox? If they do, could it be the end off a clutch cable nipple? In which case you'd be able to melt it with a soldering iron. Might it go somewhere in the clutch pushrod adjuster mechanism?
Maybe it used to be a really poor quality ball bearing?

Same answer as I gave you on FB - this is NOT a part from an Albion gearbox.

With input from Bullet Whisperer and several others on multiple forums, I've resigned myself to the fact that it was never a part of the transmission I was working on. It's definitely a purpose built part is all I know. It fell out of the inner cover when I was washing it, but what it is and how it got in there will remain a mystery. Thanks to all for the replies.

Maybe it's a bit of your parts washer? Non return valve or something?

I suspect is a bit of pressing flash left in the gearbox from when it was built, and serves no purpose.
