I am assuming that a complete set of Indian forks will fit the early Meteors. Never tried to see if they will but I assume somebody here has.

hi norm the forks would possibly fit if the early meteor had the threaded portion in the top yolk

Hi Norm,
I have just finished rebuilding such a beast [serial number is in 700's], it's still here so I've just had a look and the fork stanchions are clamped in the top yoke by cotter pins. Also, I don't think Indian fork legs have any provisionn for anchoring the second brake plate of the double drum front brake. - Paul.

Certainly works the other way around. My bitsa has early 50'sforks on a 90's Indian frame.

Thanks Paul,Paul and Simon, this is a 54 Meteor with the same casquete as the Bullets so I'm not sure about the cotter pin bit. Not worried about the right leg as going to fit an Indian twin leader and I know that will fit
