I bought both at the same time, total cost €163.00 (approximately £133.00) You can get some good deals by shopping around on the internet. Bearing in mind that the battery should last 10 years plus and the average lead acid 4 years plus at approximately £50.00 each, it's swings and roundabouts really. The main benefits are maintenance free, mount it any way up that you like, light as a small cardboard box and obviously the instant start from the high CCA. As Mr H suggests, the sprag will probably have less problems as well(fingers crossed!). I can actually hear the difference when the starter engages and disengages.
