John.... Just to make sure this answer of yours does not get forgotten by you....you said: "Hi Les, I don't know how you are doing your calculations but they are wrong. If you think about it, for a given crankshaft throw(stroke)the piston must travel the same ammount, up/down, no matter what the con.rod length is. So timing measurements ,whether linear or angular,are independant of con.rod length...THIS is why I replied with my lengthy answer!.....Your £100 challenge is very odd ......I just wonder if you are having a laugh John or could it be more serious?
